Establishes standards for data stewardship, archival integrity, website administration, and long-term preservation of Society materials.
This policy supports continuity of operations and protects the integrity of both documentary and genetic research records.
All Society records are maintained within the Society’s Records Management Framework, which establishes the official repositories, retention practices, access controls, backup procedures, and preservation standards for organizational records. The website serves as a structured access and presentation layer that references, but does not constitute, the Society’s official record repository.
Transparency & Access
Governance documents are reviewed periodically by the Board to ensure alignment with the Society’s mission as an educational surname organization devoted to research and documentation.
